The Budapest Avenue, located in the Çukurambar neighbourhood of Çankaya district, was inaugurated on 11th September, 2015, in the presence of István Tarlós, Mayor of Budapest, and Melih Gökçek, Mayor of Ankara, in order to strengthen the ties between the two sister cities. As a return for the gesture, a street neighbouring the tomb of Gül Baba was renamed Ankara Street on 2nd May, 2016.
